A Very Black Friday Holiday Shopping Guide
During this year many of us have found comfort from what was going on around us in pressing the checkout button. We let out a sigh of relief as we opened packages dropped off from our favorite clothing stores to stack and save items to get our ‘fits for when we fully can be back in the streets.
According to recent surveys and forecasts, people in the US are expected to spend $148B on Black Friday and Cyber Monday with the average millennial spending on average $841. This summer we saw an increase in the amount of support that Black-owned businesses were getting and I am asking us to keep that same energy not just when the spotlight is on but in our regular everyday purchases and Black Friday and the Holiday season.
